an idiot’s guide to juggling chainsaws
As a senior editor at Eater overseeing travel, my copious duties are large and small. I orchestrate the site’s massive international restaurant map program, routinely put together packages involving dozens of freelancers around the world, and oversee multiple columns of my own invention. Each day I work with a crack edit team, design wizards, and social media geniuses, along with a roster of hundreds of freelance journalism award-winners and first-time food writers to produce guides, essays, trend pieces, explainers, critiques, and more. My goal is to amplify every writer’s voice, collaborating to find the clearest ideas and most balanced reflection. If you can guess I edited something without seeing my name, I probably haven’t done my job.
